Yoga For Snowsports
I am sure we all have those days after snowboarding wishing that we had trained more or maybe that we just need to stretch before or after this strenuous activity. I have put together a list of poses to help us stretch our bodies after a day on the hill or even just for day to day use during the winter. Lets start with a few I have posted on my facebook and instagram and add a few of my other favorites.
1. Legs up the Wall
2.Pigeon Pose
Use Pillows or a bolster to relax onto
3. Saddle Pose
Options to - stay upright and use a block under hips or lay back onto a bolster or pillow
4. Bananasana
Side Stretch
5. Supported Staff Pose
Use pillows on top of legs and/or a block under your head if needed
6. Seated Twist
7. Puppy Pose
8. Anjaneyasana- Low Lunge
Hip FLexor / Psoas stretch
9. Cobra Twist
Upper Back / Shoulder STretch
10. Half Cow Face Pose Arms
Shoulder STretch
